Richard E Ward Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Recognition Award
This honor is given each year to any undergraduate student in any discipline who completed a research/creative activity project through the UROP program in the preceding academic year. The $1,000 award will be applied to the winning student’s bursar account. The award honors Dr. Rick E. Ward who served as the CRL Executive Director from 2011 to 2015.A student must be nominated by a UROP research mentor.
Nomination material to be submitted:
- Nomination letter not to exceed three pages, outlining the research and other relevant accomplishments of the nominee during and after receiving the UROP award. The letter should clearly address the outstanding nature of the student’s work and should include a layman’s description of the student’s research.
A complete CV for the student that includes research and/or creative activities (poster and/or oral presentations, publications, exhibits etc).
