Student research programs
Research includes any scholarly or artistic activity that leads to the production of new knowledge; to increased problem-solving capabilities, including design and analysis; to original critical or historical theory and interpretation; or to the production of art or artistic performance.
The CRL serves students through three primary program areas: Undergraduate Research Programs, Diversity Research Programs, and Summer Research Programs. Each of these programs is directed by a program leader.

Research with human subjects
If you plan to engage in a research project that involves human subjects, please make sure that you and your research mentor receive IRB approval or exempt status prior to submission of your CRL proposal. You will NOT be allowed to join any CRL program if we don’t have receipt documentation of approval or exempt status by October 1 for academic year cycles or June 1 for summer research.
