International Research Projects
If you plan to do part of your research outside the USA and request funding through any current IEL program please schedule a meeting with the IEL Executive Director prior to submitting your research proposal. Furthermore, even if your research has been approved by IEL, we will not distribute student stipends and supply funds until your travels have been approved by the Indiana University Overseas Study Advisory Council (OSAC Proposal Guidelines). It is the responsibility of the student to provide evidence of said approval to IEL prior to the student’s departure. If the project includes human subjects including but not limited to surveys and interviews conducted abroad please follow the instructions on Research with Human Subjects.
